The Razer Onza Tournament Edition controller is a purchasable, "modded" controller. This controller exceeds the standard controller in almost every way. The A, B, X, Y face buttons are back-lit. The distance you need to press the button down is far shorter than the standard controller, allowing your controller to send it's signal to your console faster. The joysticks have an adjustable tension control dial which allows you to adjust the tension of each joystick individually. This is different than changing the sensitivity on games like Halo, so there appears to be a need for a certain balance between the two. There are two additional shoulder buttons that can be customized to duplicate any of the face buttons, either bumper, either trigger, or either joystick press. The controller is finished with a black, rubber coating and a 15 foot braided cable. From my personal experience, this controller will definitely allow me to play Halo easier (for instance, I mapped X to the left shoulder button so I can use armor abilities without removing my thumb from the right joystick, and B on the right shoulder button for the same reason). I still have the problem of accidentally pressing the wrong shoulder button, but like learning a new button scheme, it takes time to get used to new controls. So it is confirmed you can in fact map any button to the 2 extra bumper buttons? That is awesome. I always wanted for fps games that make you use the X button to reload a bumper button. I can see it now, CoD, Homefront, Crysis 2 . . . oh man that is exciting, can't wait to get this controller =) Hope they become easily available soon. |

So it seems that the left mappable shoulder button cannot be mapped to the right bumper and vice versa. Not sure why. |

well that is still cool. As long as I can map any of the X, Y, A, and B buttons to the bumpers I am cool about it. |

Maybe I was used to a worn controller from before, but I upped my sensitivity from 6 to 10 even while using the loosest tension on my Onza and I seem to be doing better. It doesn't feel like 10...more like 7-8 on my old controller. I guess that is because the controller is new. But as the controller gets worn in, I can adjust the tension and compensate (though as I stated before, adjusting the tension isn't a great substitute for adjusting the sensitivity). |

I occasionally see them in stock on their website. I've also seen them multiple times in the Syracuse mall's Best Buy. |
